WHAT IS THE CATALYST?
The catalytic converter (along with unleaded petrol) is one of the main modifications introduced in the operation of new cars, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of harmful pollutant emissions from vehicles.
The catalytic converter produces chemical modifications in car exhaust gases before they are released into the atmosphere. These modifications are intended to reduce the proportion of certain harmful gases formed during the combustion process.
